This picture is also from my early adventures, and is also one of my firsts. This was taken on my first trip out of the country to a little island called Australia. I did a tour of the East side for three weeks with a program called People to People, when I was in eighth grade. We were hiking up one of the natural reservations, I think it was near Coffs Harbour, toward the top I noticed the path looked like it was leading straight up to the sky. So I knelt down and captured the scene, with my little point and shoot that I was beginning to love, and was really happy with the result. At this point, the way I would judge if a photo was good or not was I would picture it as the background for the desktop of a computer and if I thought it would work well, I dubbed the picture a good one. This is obviously not how I critique photos now, but at the time it made sense and worked well for me.
A nice quiet feeling.. Nice picture!
